George Washington Morrison Nutt and Minnie Warren
|
While this image purports to show Commodore Nutt proposing to Minnie Warren under the watchful eye of a plaster cupid, there is no evidence to suggest that a romance between the pair ever existed. Commodore Nutt had, in fact, competed earlier with Charles Stratton for Lavinia Warrens affections but failed in his efforts to win her hand. |
